Our History
Dr. Mayes DuBose, a Sumter County native, is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. DuBose opened a private practice in 2005.
After establishing himself in the Sumter area as a well-known family medicine and geriatric medicine specialist, in 2019 he shifted the business into the concierge medical practice it is today. He is active in organized medicine and is currently serving as President of the South Carolina Medical Association (SCMA).
Dr. Trenton Shook, also a South Carolina native, completed his residency training at AnMed Hospital in Rural Family Medicine and Global Health. He then served four years in the US Air Force as a Flight Surgeon and Family Physician at Shaw AFB in Sumter, SC. After completing his commitment to the USAF and falling in love with the Sumter community, Dr. Shook joined Dr. Mayes DuBose in opening Sumter’s first concierge practice.
Together, they hope to reestablish trust in the practice of medicine, one patient at a time.
