About Trenton Shook, MD
Dr. Shook is from Charleston, SC and graduated from Wofford College as a Benjamin Wofford Scholar. He received his medical degree from University of South Carolina. He completed his residency training at AnMed Hospital in Rural Family Medicine and Global Health. He then served four years in the USAF as a Flight Surgeon and Family Physician at Shaw AFB in Sumter, SC.
After completing his commitment to the USAF and falling in love with the Sumter community, Dr. Shook joined Dr. Mayes DuBose in opening Sumter's first Concierge Practice. He treats patients of all ages with one goal in mind: to improve the overall well-being on each individual- mind, body, and spirit. It is his heart to truly know and build lasting relationships with his patients to provide the best health care possible.
Dr. Shook is married to Caroline, and they have four wonderful children, one dog, three cats, and four chickens. Most often he is found at home with his family or on a sports field coaching soccer or baseball. He is an avid hunter, fisherman, and lover of tinkering on old vehicles.
"In March 2020, I began seeing patients within the concierge model. Since that time, we have realized that concierge medicine is how healthcare “should be,” for our patients and staff. I have more time to listen and gain a deeper understanding of your health circumstances, while my concierge patients have 24/7 availability to me whenever they need it. This personal patient/physician relationship is simply not attainable in today’s primary care environment."
